The equipment featured in this category was removed by Hess Services from the Huerfano Mountain Gas Plant in New Mexico. Engineered by Newpoint Gas Services for Elm Ridge Resources and commissioned in 2007, the modular facility included natural gas compression, NGL recovery, propane refrigeration, glycol dehydration, condensate stabilization, and supporting process systems. Wherever practical, equipment is cataloged by its original process module to help buyers identify compatible replacement components and complete process skids.

Plant History

According to project records and the original sales prospectus, the Huerfano Mountain Gas Plant was commissioned in 2007. Market conditions led to the propane refrigeration section being taken out of service around 2010, while the remaining condensate stabilization and associated process equipment continued operating until the plant was shut down in 2018. Hess Services later acquired and removed the equipment for resale.

According to the original sales prospectus, the remaining process equipment was operating when the facility was shut down.

The original Newpoint-designed facility was engineered to process hydrocarbon liquids produced from natural gas operations, with a published design capacity of approximately 20 MMSCFD gas throughput and 300 BPD condensate stabilization. The process was designed to recover valuable natural gas liquids (Y-Grade NGL) while producing stabilized condensate suitable for storage and transportation.

Hess Services is offering the remaining process equipment, ASME pressure vessels, process modules, heat exchangers, instrumentation and related components removed from this facility. Major rotating equipment (CAT and Waukesha compressors) has been removed; however, the remaining equipment is available individually or as complete process modules.
