This listing is for a 25,000-gallon horizontal ASME pressure vessel originally manufactured for liquid CO₂ storage. Manufactured by Cyprus Specialty Steel Co. in 1980 for AmeriGas, the vessel is registered with the National Board under No. 190 and carries a documented 350 PSI MAWP.
The vessel is available as-is for refurbishment or repurposing, or Hess Services can work with your engineering team to modify the vessel for your specific application. The vessel's original manufacturer's data report has been located and provides significant additional information regarding its construction and design. According to the manufacturer's documentation, the vessel was manufactured in 1980 by Cyprus Specialty Steel Co. of Phoenix, Arizona, for AmeriGas. The manufacturer's report identifies the vessel as Serial No. 1402 and National Board Registration No. 190. The original installation location is listed as Phoenix, Arizona.
The manufacturer's report identifies the vessel as a horizontal pressure vessel with a 25,000-gallon capacity. The report specifies an 88-inch inside diameter, a nominal shell length of 77 feet, and 2:1 elliptical heads. Field measurements of the vessel are consistent with the manufacturer's documented dimensions, including an overall length of approximately 82 feet (seam to seam 77 feet) and an outside diameter of approximately 7.5 feet.
The manufacturer's documentation specifies a maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) of 350 PSI at 650°F and a documented hydrostatic test pressure of 525 PSI. The shell and heads are identified as SA-516-70 material.

Weight: Estimated weight is not currently confirmed. Based on field dimensions and construction, we believe the vessel may weigh approximately 35–40 tons, subject to verification.
Configuration note: The vessel's documented original construction information is supported by the manufacturer's data report. Descriptions of the currently observed internal piping and additional vessel penetrations are based on visual inspection and field measurements. The original function of individual nozzles, penetrations, and internal piping within the former gas plant application has not been independently established.

Condition
This equipment was removed during dismantling of a former gas processing facility. The vessel was not in active process service at the time of dismantling and is being offered in its current as-removed condition.
The vessel has been visually inspected from accessible exterior areas and through the available manway opening. The internal piping configuration and the original purpose of the various nozzles and penetrations have not been fully established. Purchasers are encouraged to inspect the vessel and perform any additional examination necessary to determine its suitability for their intended application.
The availability of the original manufacturer's data report and National Board registration information provides useful documentation of the vessel's original construction and design parameters. However, no representation is made that the vessel is currently suitable for pressure service without inspection, testing, engineering evaluation, and any refurbishment or recertification required by the purchaser's application and applicable requirements.
