Product Overview

2,500 Gallon Concrete Septic Tank with Baffle

Our 2,500 gallon concrete septic tank with baffle is engineered for durability, strength, and long-term performance in residential and commercial wastewater systems. Manufactured to meet stringent KDHE building code and structural standards, this tank is designed to provide reliable, code-compliant onsite wastewater storage and treatment.

Engineered for Strength & Compliance

This tank is designed in accordance with the 2018 International Building Code (IBC) and constructed to meet or exceed applicable ACI and ASTM standards.

Structural Design Criteria:

  • Lid Live Load: 400 PSF + 2,500 lb axle load (KDHE Bulletin 4-2)
  • Wall Design: 55 PSF/ft equivalent fluid pressure (EFP)

These load ratings make the tank suitable for demanding installations where structural integrity is critical.

High-Strength Concrete Construction

  • 4,000 PSI minimum compressive strength at 28 days
  • Water/cement ratio not to exceed 0.50
  • Air-entrained concrete (6% ±) for exterior and freeze/thaw exposure
  • Materials and admixtures contain no calcium chloride

Concrete mix design and placement are performed in accordance with ACI 318 standards to ensure long-term durability and performance in harsh underground environments.

Reinforcement & Materials

  • Reinforcing steel: ASTM A615, Grade 60 billet steel
  • Welded wire fabric: ASTM A185 compliant
  • Cement: ASTM C150 Type I or II
  • Aggregates: ASTM C33 compliant
  • Reinforcing fabrication per latest CRSI Manual of Standard Practice

Reinforcement is accurately positioned and secured prior to concrete placement, with additional reinforcement provided around openings and penetrations per ACI and CRSI requirements. Concrete cover and lap splice lengths are maintained as specified for structural integrity.

Quality & Installation Standards

  • All work performed in accordance with ACI 318
  • Conduit embedded in concrete complies with ACI requirements
  • Sleeves, openings, and attachments subject to engineering approval
  • Strict reinforcement handling procedures (no field welding unless approved)
